This guy is amazing... what he did to this Maytag washer is a work of art.

The machine is like brand new.

Thanks... I figured that it would make sense that he would be a member here.

This video is amazing, the music, the work that goes into this restoration.

Great work, Eugene.

The brake package scene went by so quick I wasnt sure what he did to it. I wonder if he used regular gear oil or synthetic?

Sorry, meant to say I wasnt sure what he replaced on the brake package. Oil was related to trans, synthetic or regular. I would assume synthetic after going through all the trouble of a quality resto like that.

Oil

I used Maytag oem gear oil. I was chatting with another technician on a different forum and he said he tried using synthetic gear oil but was too runny and was passing through the lower o-ring seal.

If it needs to be replaced every 30 years that’s ok.

I did rebuild the brake, not much to it. I neglected to oil the brake the first time and ended up re doing it 2 more times. I finally used some leftover gearcase oil and that did the trick.

Thank you all for the kind words. I hope to do another Maytag in the near future

Eugene do you also sell the blue Loraine Furniture shirts as well?

The shirts that say “Lorain furniture “ are employee shirts. I’m working on a new design and will hopefully be out in a few months. I’ll make them in a variety of colors.
