That looks a great deal like our first dishwasher, which my mom got for Christmas, 1957. It was White. (the machine anyway, I don't know whether Christmas was or not).

I'm always surprised when I see these, as ours died in 1971, and was replaced with a KitchenAid Imperial 16.

...with the factory installed faux wood-grain front panel. This machine looks like it's in good condition but if would help to see a picture of the bottom of the tank. Still waiting for a '61 Custom or an early Empress.

My grade school buddy, Jimmy Schoonover's family had one of these bought from the late, great Kamenstein's hardware store on Stuyvesant Place in the late fifties. They also had one of those gorgeous 40" Caloric Ultramatic stoves.

Does anyone have any experience with the little countertop dishwashers in the rows below the GE?
