Good Afternoon ! This is a long shot, but would anyone happen to have a NEW ( or pristine, non-scored ) agitator shaft for my 1982 Inglis ? I believe the original part number was 362098 r/b 285036. I'm doing a complete overhaul, and the shaft I have isn't corroded, but does have some fine scratches in the area where the spin tube bearing would contact it. They aren't through the plating, and are only visible under certain light. There is also a small groove worn in the shaft by the upper agitator seal. Again, I'm sure a new seal will still work to prevent water leaking down the shaft - but one can never be too careful. Too bad they didn't make a sleeve to go over the area ( have the shaft turned on a metal lathe, to allow a 0.0010 sleeve to go over the shaft, and still make the proper contact with the factory upper seal. ( This is how car makers use a sleeve in the engine, brake calipers and rear pinions to correct the groove worn into the metal by the seal lip. )
