Looks like another appliance new homeowner acquired and wants to move on.

Seems in pretty decent shape, and will scrub up well. Anyone interested should make seller an offer. Since they admit don't know if thing works price is a tad steep IMHO.

Does it come with 2 agitators, one of them from a completely different era, or are theses pictures of 2 separate machines?

Working under theory WYSIWYG, there are two agitators.

Black Bakelite likely was original to washer, later on owner upgraded to the "improved" turquoise.

My Maytag has same black agitator, but also opted to purchase one of the newer turquoise after reading here in group that it was designed to better keep water out of center seal.

Truth to tell prefer using black original or one with lint filter/detergent dispenser.

I got a better look at the pictures and found the one where it shows both agitators. The Bakelite agitator isn't original to that machine.

Then stand corrected, guess previous owner didn't care for turquoise agitator either, so got hold of the black Bakelite.

Understand Maytag's reasons for creating the new style agitator, but just can't warm up to the thing.

This is the general consensus of Maytag agitators.

Aluminum 1939-1949
Red 1950-1954
Black Bakelite 1955-1964
Black Polypropylene 1965
Turquoise (Polypropylene) 1966-1982

I'm unaware of the timeframe lint filter agitators were available.
