Looking to buy a good used washer and dryer in Central Oregon. Repair guys round here do not do any warranty work on Samsungs/LGs..if I were to go new and I think buying a Miele W1 doesn't make sense for me one for where I live in terms of potential repairs and due to smaller and unpredictable income as I am a pet sitter whose business is just now only rebounding and recovering from the pandemic. I can't decide on which new washer and dryer to buy so thought for now and to save some money, I'd get a good used set TL or FL. I have never owned a FL just older TL machines. Nice to have's - extra rinse, water level control, quick wash or a good older FL that uses sufficient water to clean clothes. I wouldn't be doing any repairs. Am single and have two cats and visit pets daily so generally do laundry frequently and smaller loads every few days.

Any good set recommendations to be on the lookout for? I have found a repair guy who fixes and sells older used machines so he is on the lookout for me. Any models to look out for while I browse FB marketplace or Bend's Craigslist ads? What should I look for if I am able to view a used set in person. I will be moving from a rental into a house with a small laundry room.

Thx E

A direct drive product from Whirlpool from 1987 to 2010. Those would be branded Whirlpool, Kenmore, KitchenAid, Roper, and Estate. If you find listings online in your area you can always post the links here and we'd be glad to look at them. Another brand would bee Maytag.

Menards

and if you're looking, Menards has used appliances in the back of their stores, which they claim still work, all for $25 each

doesn't claim they work. You buy one, and you have 2 weeks to return it, if it doesn't work. And the prices vary.

There usually is a reason they are sitting there.
