I think you're actually lucky that poppy red isn't that easy to find because Frigidaire -- in my opinion -- is the least reliable make where vintage refrigerators are concerned, and in my experience, they make more noise. Your best bet is a Whirlpool or Coldspot (Sears house brand made by Whirlpool) as those seem to run forever, or a GE, which is also good, and either of those brands will run a lot more quietly than a Frigidaire.
I'm not a big fan of coppertone, but I think that would be the most complementary color to your stove. Harvest gold would be my second choice. I don't mind avocado, but with a red stove, that would be like the holiday season all year 'round, and two months of that nonsense every year is already more than enough. |

Gibson also made appliances in Poppy, but I doubt their refrigerators are any more reliable than Frigidaire at that time. |
