Standard tub washer; I'm pretty sure it's a one-speed wonder.  The later model dryer looks nearly BOL.  

 

Both machines are as well-built and reliable as Maytag's TOL models.  You can't beat the price if the washer's relatively small capacity isn't a deal-breaker.

That washer is my daily driver - so easy to change the belts on washer by just tipping machine over! Also mine is on its 4th water valve but again so easy to replace this as well. Youll have a washer with a transmission that could out live the owner!

One-Speed

I had the LA308? Same machine but larger capacity. Great machine! Single speed that had four water levels and three wash temps (cold rinses). Delicate cycle was intermittent agitation and Perm Press was very short spin times. Rock solid machine.

This model happens to be the A108...Fabric-Matic single speed washer, standard tub, 3 water levels and 4 wash/rinse temperatures
