Hello all
I’m trying to resolve an issue that I cannot figure out, my Whirlpool powerclean direct feed dishwasher will not actuate the releasing mechanism for the detergent door after the second fill, there is no click coming from the actuator whatsoever. So this seems to tell me that this issue could be electronically related, but there is nothing online that I’ve found about this issue and I cannot resolve it. The rinse aid dispenser doesn’t seem to work either and never has, I don’t understand why it’s not actuating the releasing mechanism and why this is such a common issue from Whirlpool, our Maytag did the same damn thing a few years back. I took the door panel off to see how it all works and it’s simple, the actuator is not actuating to pull the lever up releasing the soap door. I’d greatly appreciate any help or input please. |

You may need a new dual wax motor actuator. Part # 3369417/3374501. |

Where is the wax motor? Situated just under the control panel behind the door panel correct? As I can see the bottom black teeth that stick out from it above where the plastic bar lever for the soap door is. Although I don’t understand why it sits under the teeth of it, it’s not grabbing onto it so how does it pull it up? It looks very confusing as if something isn’t right.
