That must be one of the earliest GE based Hotpoint dryers made - around 1970. The washers must have still been true Hotpoint at that time. Does anyone know the exact years that each changed over to the GE design?

They changed the washers in 1974 and I think the dryers in 1968 or 1969!

Ken (bajaespuma) could probably tell you the day of the week when Hotpoint left Taylor Street in Chicago.

 

I can't help at the moment, as all of my printed materials are still packed up after moving on Friday.

That's a GE dryer with a Hotpoint control panel on top. This was sold during the transition from bona fide Hotpoint to GE clone.
