Congratulations on that beautiful Hotpoint set Chris. I know a lot of us were tempted to go for that set!
The motor wiring on the Hotpoint washer shouldn't be too difficult but be advised there are probably four wires leading to that motor even though it's only a single speed, one direction motor (normally those kind of motors only have two wires). The reason for that is the agitate solenoid is wired though the start switch of that motor. So when you hear the machine start after fill you hear the motor start and then about 1/2 to 3/4 of a second later you hear the clunk of the big solenoid. They did this so the agitator solenoid wouldn't engage unless the motor was operating at full speed. I have that same machine, here is a picture I took over 15 years ago, but you kind of see what color wires go where... |

Wow, any one of these would stand out to be quite the find for 2021, but all within a year? Amazing! The '61 clamshell appears to be in very nice condition, and a Custom Imperial 1-18, plus a '55 Unimatic? Time to get a lotto ticket!
I'm so glad the Hotpoint set was saved and is within the group. Enjoy the Hotpoint set, and rough but able Speed Queen! Ben |

Nice machines you have there. You can just see the quality of the older units. |

Thank you all for the well-wishings. It's been a bit of a whirlwind getting everything together but I'm thrilled to have gotten all of these. SpiralDasher |
