If I were looking for a Filter Flow washer I'd go with the one seen in image six. It's an extra large capacity machine and it has a very useful mini basket setting. The mini basket would slide down into place over the straight vane agitator. My parents used this exact model for thirty years before corrosion and subsequent leaks in the outer tub took it out. The matching dryer that they purchased at the same time is still being used to this day. |

Get the set with the straight vane. You could always change out agitators. Better to have more than one to play around with. |

True, but I don’t know where to find any other agitators. I’ve looked a lot of places, but I can’t find any different ones for sale. |

I haave the washer in pic #1 with the roto swirl agitator. It is only standard capacity but I wash 2 king size sheets and 4 king size pillowcases in a load and it does fine. Great Washer !!! Bob |

Nothing says GE Washer like the roto-swirl, but so does the 2nd machine with the toggle switches that still allows the warm wash with warm rinse, so just see if you swap agitators with the washer boasting the best looking controls...
As for the dryer, I would go with the one with just the push-buttons in the left, rather than the sets of those doo-dad ones one the right, unless you have a need or preference for which one is gas vs. electric, or just need an exact match for your choice of sets... -- Dave |
