In about 10 days my son and i get on an airplane and say good bye to San Diego for good.
At this point i don’t have time to sell off my vacuum collection and so i am giving it away to anyone and everyone who shows up.
No shipping at all whatsoever, sorry no time.
I really just want to save as much from the scrapper as possible.
Contact me if you can be here in the next week or so.
Mostly i have vacuums from the seventies on up....Kirby, Hoover, Sanitaire, Oreck, Fitter Queen, Electrolux, Panasonic, Kenmore, Interstate, Simplicity, Riccar, Royal (lots of Royals!), on and on....canisters, uprights, not to mention my favorite...commercial vacuums!
Probably 150-180 vacuums in all.
Ideally we all converge on my storage garage over the weekend and disburse them in the span of two or three hours depending on interest.
Whoever takes the most gets first pick. If someone wants them all, step right up!
Public Storage, Sorrento Valley, San Diego.

Is anyone out West responding to this? It seems like quite an opportunity.

So far people have made arrangements for Saturday and Sunday morning.

It took many hundreds of visits to thrift shops and the like to amass this collection.
I really don’t want that effort to go to waste. I can far more easily replace the money lost, but many of these vacs i only ever saw one of, e.g. Eureka self propelled upright, which i use as a daily driver.

Early on i started to notice the vacs i saw one year were rare or non-existent the next.
So i tried to grab these increasingly rare odd ball vacs if and when they popped up.

Do you have any vintage Kirbys from the 50’s 60’s or 70’s you are giving away or not?

A handful of collectors grabbed about two dozen, all they could fit, one wanting to come back for them all. He couldn’t get the storage space so i passed the hoard onto someone looking to sell them off overtime.
If anyone is interested you can contact me for his number.
My storage is now empty and probably already rented out again.
I am running around attending to last minute details before we fly on Saturday.
Everyone who made the trip went away very happy with what they got.

Good to hear they didn't end up in the trash.
