I would go to this sale if closer, but in reality I really don't need much more stuff, LOL

Looks almost like a thrift store with all the vintage stuff that’s there.

Row 26, far right, note the radio with the dial that has the Whirlpool emblem in the inset.

There are some great Chicago finds in that house. If anyone local goes I’d pay a finders fee for the Dayton bench grinder and bench vise.

Had to stop looking....

Didn't know where to start... Vintage tools, Sunbeam hair dryer and grinder, telephones, nudie magazines (no, not for me, just noticed them by crate load), china, and more...

Those vintage tools and hardware will sell at once am sure. Many will make their way onto eBay or other flea market sort of places as there is demand is great.

Sales like that in such a small spaces often are frustrating. If place is too crowded you've got people breathing down your neck so cannot concentrate.

If this were on a weekend might make for an interesting road trip to anyone somewhat close.

People will be lined up around the block to get into that sale.  The amount of interesting stuff is overwhelming.

AMAZING Collection....

.....of "stuff" - looks like they never got rid of anything in 70+ years!

I remember having glasses very similar to these "way back when". I think they came in a metal carrying rack.

Alas, I think my late mother ruined them by washing them in the dishwasher.

As a kid, I thought they were VERY special!

I'll bet the rack for those glasses is kicking around somewhere in those piles of merchandise.

BTW, my favorite aunt who lived in Westchester, IL had that same Laundromat in her basement too.  I was fascinated by that machine and a Laundromat of that same vintage was the first washer I ever "collected" (got if for free and at ~20 years old, still worked) back when I was a teenager.  I used it at a rental I shared with a friend.  A relatively newer harvest gold dryer (I want to say Penncrest) was already there.

Wow that estate sale is like what so many estate sales here were like in the 1990's. Those are few and far between now to say the least. We always used to fill up the back of the SUV every Saturday!

I went four times

I didn’t know about this reference to the Oak Lawn sale until this morning. I went to that sale four times. Indeed, there was a lot of fun stuff but oddly not too crowded. I went early morning.
I bought the Big Boy stainless BBQ grill with rotisserie. $52. I don’t think it was ever used. Bought some radio stuff too. Rumor had it that the owner bought the house in 1961 and never got rid of anything. I believe it. Lots of NIB stuff which really turns me on!
Western Holly oven, Chambers range hood. West FL. $180. Norge refrigerator. Two old TVs (televisions). The built-ins were part of the house and didn’t look for sale.

I may have to start another thread.
What do y’all know about Big-Boy charcoal / electric rotisseries?

Viscount

The radio with the Whirlpool emblem on the tuning dial was a Viscount brand.
NIB, and there were two of them. I did not buy, though I did notice the emblem resemblance.
