This person has a pretty bad attitude if they are willing to scrap an old appliance in great condition versus taking less than the asking price. Of course this is my opinion and maybe I’m missing something here. I wouldn’t have added the scrap yard bit but stated the price was firm if it was my listing.

Machine is overpriced and the seller is an idiot!

If it is in NOS condition:

It would be worth $500 and would be better than any new Dishwasher.

so where exactly is this guys shop?....

that is closing down?.....

most places have a Going-out-of-business clearance sale.....

I like the warnings of "if it doesn't sell its going to the scrap yard"....then go!...members toss out vintage machines all the time, whether for space, or no one wants them, we can't always hoard everything forever....

order a dumpster and clear the whole place out at one time....problem solved!....

who is he kidding, scrap is not up in value currently.....the most you would get for this dishwasher is less than $5.00.....you might get a little more if you scrap the motor and wiring separately

something isn't quite right about this thread....

Granted, it looks really mint, but $885.00? Good luck with that one.

This sale was brought to attention (link below) by PullToStart/Lawrence on 7/21/2021, although it was a CraigsList offer at that time.  The CraigsList ad is now gone.  I have the pics saved from the CraigsList ad, they're the same as the current eBay ad, including the 11-9-84 invoice ... although there were 5 more pics on the CraigsList ad (17 total).

$885.00 is way too much. They will NEVER be able to sell it at that price. $200 to $300 is closer to what it’s worth to be honest.

It is my machine I can sell it for a penny if I want ot sell it for $885. Not desperate to sell if it sells fine if not fine. I have been a member of this page for a long while I see the snarky smart ass comments being posted by people daily. A bunch a crybaby key board warriors hidden behind a screen attempting to bulky a seller to sell it to them for penny's on the dollar. The only value to any thing is what someone else is willing to pay for it. Here is a message I got today and I would love to share it
FYI....a bunch of nasty gay men are ragging on you about this listing and other listings you have.....check out their website.....www.automaticwasher.org......Shop... thought you might like to know......they are a nasty bunch of cheapskates who troll the internet for appliances and rag on the sellers about thier pricing..... I get messages daily from other people. So this is how you occur to others as being nasty hateful people. We can't have peace love and joy in the world when this exists. Hateful comments from this community do not serve a purpose.

While I haven’t sent you any messages I did make a post about your comment in your listing above and stand by it. Everyone is still entitled to their own opinion at least at this moment in time. While I live far away from you I would be more than happy to discuss this matter over the phone as anyone that knows me knows I’m not afraid of a warranted confrontation. While I feel for you in the aspect of getting emails running you or your product down unfortunately there is nothing either one of us can do about that. I also take a lot offense with your comments against this website as it certainly does not pertain to everyone here. As someone who has been in the appliance business my whole life I feel qualified to make the statements that I do. There is also a lot of knowledge from some great people here who are willing to give their time and experience for free to anyone trying to repair any appliance. If you would like to speak to me in person I would be more than happy to provide my phone number if you send me an email. My address is in my profile.

This is not intended to provoke anything ugly as I would never do anything like that behind a keyboard. I really hope your day gets better from here.

Melvin

I'd say scrap it.

$855.00 IMHO, ain't gonna happen. BTW, I've GIVEN AWAY more freestuff than you can imagine. Most here would like to see things preserved, including me. But when we see an obvious outrageous price, we have to comment.Don't like the comments? Don't read them.

That is all.....
