Afternoon All,
Recently i have been doing some fascinating research of a weekly publication that was available in the UK, called Electrical Radio & Trading, this was targeted at the electrical distributor and it covered all new electrical releases of products, i was looking through the 40 odd magazines the other day from 1959 and found this entry for a “Ready-Matic” washer, it is a bit like a Thor Automagic / GEC Double-plus machine, it has the spin tub inside the wash tub. Econu Ltd were the imports.
Cheers Keith

It looks to be like something Hoover would have made just by looking at those images.

Wow, never seen or heard of that make & model Keith, it does look like a cross between the GEC and Thor, will be worth asking Seb (Candybimatic) and Louis etc to see if they know anymore.

I see its on castors, wonder how stable it was on spin as the GEC and Thor are really heavy machines.

Youve got a great resource library there Keith , Why dont you start a ERT thread ? it would be invaluable for information and a great thread starter group discussion thread etc !!

I noticed it says "designed and styled in Italy" not "made in Italy."
Is it an Italian design made under license in the UK?

I've never seen this washer before and I don't have a clue what it could be. It reminds me a bit of the Perobot with the position of the spin drum, but it's rather different ofcourse.
