That's a mighty fine Amana you picked up, and more specifically a model RR-3H. Short lived between the 1968 - 1970 RR-2 and the late 1971 RR-4, the 3H introduced a funky user controlled mechanical interlock that was mandated by the Feds, that by the time the 4 came around Amana worked around the mechanical requirements with a solenoid to manually lock the door.
