Cannot say why atm, but Saugerties, NY means something to one. Not sure if if a member or known collector lived up that way, or if purchased something from someone in area.

In any event those various auction listings have been up for ages largely without a nibble. When things don't sell they are recycled into a new auction, don't sell again, lather rinse and repeat.

Some of the appliances might find a new owner were not for asking prices. Several thousand dollars is pretty steep for things of untested condition, and not near pristine quality. Pile on "no returns" and then shipping can see why no one bothers.

Both the Bendix and Westinghouse FL’s are just like the very first FL’s I ever saw and were the main reasons for my life long fascination with washing machines.

My favorite aunt, Imogene had a Westy just like the one in the post along with the matching dryer and one of my childhood babysitters, Mrs. Krenzer had a Bendix just like the one in the post. I spent many childhood hours watching these machines go thru their cycles. Back in the early 50’s when we only had 3 channels on TV to watch these FL windows were almost as good as watching TV sometimes.
