Is this the one that came with purple mini-skirt outfits and space bubble hats?

Looks good with that flooring and the wood paneling nicely ties the whole ordeal for a period correct atmosphere.

Love the refrigerator. The paint job not so much.

The one with the space bubble hats was a TOL Custom Inperial, with woodgrain on the door.

I wish it were a pushbutton, I'd nab it in a second at that price, but I believe it's just an emblem and the door opens conventionally. Still a bargain if someone local can rescue it.

I am quite sure that this ref has the electric door opener, unfortunately I don't think this ref is in that great of shape.

How does the push button work?  Does it open the door wide a la foot pedal Coldspot?  If not, why make opening the door a two-stage operation?

The one we had years ago would open the door pretty much fully, depending on how much was stored in the door.

The color in the other two photos from the listing look much more close to the actual shade of turquoise Frigidaire used.

Certainly looks like the push button model, IMO.

So I reached out to the seller to see if I was missing something I couldn't live without, and she confirmed it's just an emblem, so I'll be able to sleep easy tonight, lol.

Does anyone have the Tech-Talk on these? What caught my eye on the turquoise model was that it was a 16 while the famous ad with the push-button is a 19. I've also got a 16 in brushed chrome and mine is a fixed emblem as well.

So was this feature relegated to the TOL model? Or optional on others?

The Space Age Refrigerator is the one I grew up with. FPCI 19 BKCP was ours.

I guess that I had not seen this 16CF model that had the nice Wing-Swept door handles but it still uses the awful evaporator design under the freezer floor that would eventually develop defrost problems.

The 1966 19CF Bottom Freezer design was a great move forward with the single vertical evaporator behind the freezers rear wall.

We still have the 1967 19 CF Food-Life-Preserver in my collection here at home, it has the fresh food section divided into two sections with he top 1/2 being a high humidity section and the lower part is a fast chill area.

Electric door opener

The electric door opener was only a feature on the 19 cu ft model.
