They bang and dance even more! I can tell a story. When my yougest sister and her husband moved into Aunt Mac's house they had DD Whirlpool. One morning when they got up, he complained that he was running short of underwear so my sister said, "Why don't you put some in the washer, I need help with the laundry". Half an hour later she hears "Bang, Bang, Bang!", goes downstairs and finds that the machine is three feet out of hte corner. She did turn it off and called me. It was overloaded and OOB. Only the hoses kept it from walking away. Turns out his mother "picked up after all her boys" so no one in that family knew how to do laundry. |

Kenmore DD models still had OOB switches and buzzers for a few years after their full introduction on themarket. My 1986 LK did, although the buzzer was not nearly as obnoxious (aka wake the dead) as the BD buzzers were. I think the only time I ever had oob loads was when I was washing large throw rugs. Otherwise not, since I don't do mixed loads of towels and sheets, which has the highest probability of going oob in my nearly 46 years of laundry memories.
