Hello!
My KDS-21 is making a noise and I can't seem to figure out what it is/how to stop it. I got some advice on another board to check underneath the bottom spinning arm for debris, especially broken glass. I did that and found a piece of broken glass. After I removed it the noise stopped for a short time but then started again. There is nothing else under the arm. The filter and everything else is clear.

I took a video of it but can't post it here. It is a kind of screeching sound that's quieter but continuous when it's in the wash cycle but intermittent and louder later on. It occurrs most often later in the cycle when it's winding down from a cycle. Any idea what this might be? I could e-mail you my video.

Also, does anyone have an extra bottom rack they'd like to sell? The tines are breaking off of mine and it is rusting.

Thanks so much for your help!!
Lynn

Did you try posting your video to something like YouTube and then posting the link to that video in the URL Link to share field?

Glass

Maybe a shard of the broken glass got into the pump housing.

Thanks! How would I access pump housing?

@chachp, that is a good idea. I will try to figure that out.

@Steved, that's a good thought. How would I access the pump housing to check it?

Thanks so much for your replies!

Videos can't be uploaded into a post here like photos.  Board users typically place videos on a YouTube account for public sharing.  Make sure the video isn't set to private.  Copy the URL of the video for viewing and paste it directly into the text your post.  AW's board software recognizes the syntax of YouTube URLs and embeds the video into the post.  Other online sharing services can be used but in that case paste the video URL into the URL Link to Share entry field instead of into the text of the post.
