My first guess was Amana, but after looking more I'm going to guess Philco.

A Rare and Beautiful Refrigerator/Freezer

I was thinking Philco as well.  The thing I noticed is the gold "Styron 475" sticker on the side of the door shelving.  That's the same as our '61 Wards Tru-Cold freezer had.  Since it's a Dow product, I suppose more manufacturers than just Philco used it because I'm fairly certain Philco didn't have a deal with Wards for refrigeration products.

And just for the record, contrary to Dow's claim and the image on the sticker, Styron 475 cracked and/or broke just fine.  There was an almond-shaped gash that can be seen at the bottom above the kick plate, and one door shelf retainer on the hinged side broke and that shelf couldn't be used for anything heavy.

I'd say Kelvinator---cold plate refrigerator, think that solid rectangular door handle was 1958 or 1959.

I just noticed that even the door latches look identical.  And Jamie, now that you've mentioned it, a similar flat "V" shaped emblem is on my '52 Kelvinator fridge.

Unusual 1958 through 60 bottom freezer refrigerator

combo52's profile picture
This refrigerator was unusual because it was half freezer and a half refrigerator,.

It was made by Franklin a division of Studebaker automobile company at one time.

It would’ve had a name on it like co-op, Victor, wizard etc. Franklin was basically an offbrand builder of major appliances.
