We just recently acquired a Frigidaire FLCE7522AW-at least I think that is the model #-because our Whirlpool Cabrio dryer-about 10 years old-and our 21 1/2 year old Shredmore-has seen better days. Are these Frigidaire units any good-are there anyone that has any experience with them?

We have repaired and recycled lots of these, try to get your old machines  back and make repairs as needed.

When you say you acquired this machine hopefully you mean you got it free or for next to nothing.

Rent to own place had it

We acquired it from a rent to own store-they said if anything goes wrong with it before the payments are done-it would be replaced. It was the only decent one that had the most decent agitator in it-all the rest of the washers had mostly wash plates or were junk front loaders.

We canceled the order

We decided to cancel the order on the Frigidaire laundry center-it was taking too long for them to deliver it. I’m glad now that we didn’t get it-we’re going to buy a dryer instead and keep the direct drive Kenmore-if it goes out-switch it out with my Speed Queen AWN412, built like a tank.

Whirlpool Thin Twin

We got a good reconditioned Whirlpool Thin Twin direct drive instead of that junk Frigidaire unit-this is one of the most attractive Whirlpool units I’ve ever seen, too-looks like it was made in the late 1980’s. The only thing wrong with it is that it needs new agitator dogs-someone had locked up the upper auger with a screw deliberately, so that the auger would oscillate with the bottom of the agitator. But it looks to be a good, sturdy unit.
