A very good friend of mine picked up an early 60s Montgomery Ward Signature wringer washing machine for me, complete with user manual. The machine is in mint condition and will be arriving this Saturday! Photos to follow.

So my friend delivered my new addition. He had it on a little flatbed trailer and unfortunately didn’t have it secured well enough and it fell off the trailer at 55mph. Thankfully he had it wrapped up in moving blankets so limited damage…except the wringer. Will have to see if that can be salvaged. Good news is minimal damage to the finish, and I plugged it in and it works! Need to replace the hose and will try a water test soon.

Wow!!! I hope you can get it up and running very soon, and get the wringer fixed. I did not know wringer washers had lint filters, that’s new to me. I’m wondering how it works. Barry |

Hi Todd. Congrats on your new addition. I have the same machine machine in my collection. I bought it 20 years for 65.00 from an appliance dealership. Missing the filter but do have an owners manual close to yours. I think my model is a little newer than yours. She runs beautifully. I also have the tabletop model that has the plunger that came out about the same timer.your wringer doesn't look that bad hoping you'll have it back together soon.
