Hi All,
New Member here! I've literally just purchased a Hotpoint Empress Washing Machine!
I've got some pictures for you, but will also send some other ones when I get it delivered!

An update.
So the washing machine was delivered all okay!
The machine is working fine. One issue is that the lever to operate the gyro does not work. When you switch the machine on the agitator automatically turns on.
Also unsurprisingly the rubber hoses are in need of replacement. I however, do not what ones to replace them with. What are the dimensions?
Any help or advice is appreciated.

Morning Nathanial,
Congrats on your recent acquisition, Hotpoint Empresses sold in the thousands and there are so many still around today, they were so versatile and offered such a large wash load.

The engaging lever may have come disconnected either on purpose or by accident, this could be just a case of investigating and reconnecting, now the hoses are a little more tricky as the pump to outlet is difficult to get to as the outlet entry into the tub is right up in the corner of the cabinet and you normally have to either undo the outlet from inside the tub or disconnect the motor wires and motor supports that bolt onto the cabinet and lift the whole tub/motor/gearbox out, install a new pipe and then reassemble, it's not a 5 minute job but perfectly do-able on a weekend !!

I have the service manual so if you need a scan of the exploded diagram let me know.

Regards
Keith

Hi Keith,
Thanks for your response!
I definitely would appreciate having a look at that exploded diagram from the service manual!
