Hello all, I have a Miele TWI180WP Dryter that keeps throwing  the “Clean the plinth filter” error.  I have cleaned everything yet it keeps throwing the error.  The filter appears to be clean.  I routinely clean it when needed.  I have it soaking now hoping that maybe there is old dust in the filter that is slowing the air flow.

How often do you all replace yours?  Mine is original to the machine which I bough in July 2020. I can't seem to find them on the website and Amazon wants $120 for two filters.  Does that sound right?

UPDATE: I found them on the Miele website for $32 each.  That's not so bad.  Has anyone had this recurring error and resolved it with a new filter?  Everything else looks really clean.

Check

the operating guide section that refers to the "Airway Indicator" and how to adjust to your preference.

Never thought to search for "airway" but I guess that makes sense.  I soaked and squeezed the filter really well and a lot more lint came out in the water.  Clearly, a routine rinsing is not enough.  I put it back in and still got the error so on the advice of a friend (thank you Mark) I let it dry overnight. I put it back in and it's been working fine.

The new filter I ordered comes tomorrow so I will have a spare moving forward.  Visions in my head of me having to go to the laundromat to dry these clothes made me a little crazy and I guess I over reacted a little bit.

You’re welcome, Ralph. Glad it’s working again!
