Dryer has the bar baffles so it's a pre Nov 1968 model.

According to my information, the timer dial used the "Wash and Wear" script until 1969 so possibly a timer dial changeout.

Washer is straight up BOL, but my God, look at that GORGEOUS tub!

If only I were closer. Currently in the process of putting together/restoring a Maytag DE306 that’s going to get customized with 808 control panel along with 2 cycling thermostats since 806 dryers always seem to be too far or too much in the Southern California area.

Grandparents had the washer until 1988. I always wanted one just out of nostalgia.

Looks like the dryer has wire wound baffles to me.

"Looks like the dryer has wire wound baffles to me."

Yeah, I accidently typed out bar while thinking wire wound. No bar baffles existed before 1968.

I figured that was what you meant to type.

If it’s that early…it would be a mate to an orphan 806 that we have! I messaged the seller.

That washer looks like it has very low, if any, milage on it. That wash basket is pristine and the agitator as well. I zoomed into the interior pic and usually one can see wear marks on the PowerFin agitator vanes if one does not close zippers and such. Those are tell tale signs plus the holes on the wash basket dont have the wear marks in the holes edges.
