Thought I’d share some pics of my Bosch dishwasher. I’ve had this model for about 11 months and I really love it. It’s a little louder than I thought but still very quiet. The racks are so flexible, apart from the top/multi-purpose rack. It didn’t hold cutlery and I thought it was a waste of time, so I took it out. Cleaning is superb and the intensive zone option really makes a difference. One small niggle, I don’t think the filter system is as good as my mum’s 13 year old Siemens. It has 4 parts, my Bosch only 3. Anyone else any thoughts on this?

John, I like the time display too. Unfortunately, this is predominantly onnly avaiable on the Benchmark series, which is their absolute TOL. It's also the series which offers a water softener, wich I'd really liked to have had. But, none of that was available whn I needed a new dishwasher. Benchmark series also offer ability to program the soil sensor, I could program it for extreme soil level--BobLoad ultimate!!! The 3rd rack Kris removed appears to be an updated version of the MyWay rack offered here I find that useful as I always have cookig utesils, ramekins, small bowls, ... HIs udated rack hs a retractable knif tray, which I like and is similar to competitors. My model cme with a solid cutlery basket, which I detest. I can put about 12-20 pieces of cutlery in the kni tray area and then I kept some of myprevious dishwasher's splittable culery baskets and put those around the bottom rack where I can, otherwise that large basket takes up to muchspace for anything that would be pots, pans, ...Kris' model has the auto open door option for aiding in drying. I prefer mine with Zeolite (CrystalDry) which gives me drying results reminiscent of 1960s & 1970s KithchenAid dishwashres, It's a game changer.

wash arm action

Do these alternate or run simultaneously?

Wash arm action

Probably switchable between various different modes - if it is anything like the older models.

In the older models the initial 'Prerinse' part of the programme is usually both arms turning at the same. Probably a load saturation/water level check phase.

Then, after a few minutes, the diverter valve rotates to a new position, and does the upper basket(s) only. After another minute or two, the diverter flips again and does the lower basket.

Whilst all this is happening, the wash pump motor slows down and ramps back up to different speeds according to which parts of the cycle it is currently in.
