I will soon be the proud owner of 2 Maytags (I already have a 1985 A506). I've been wanting the A107 for quite awhile as it's the one my grandparents had for decades and finally gave up the ghost a few months ago. Unfortunately, by the time I learned about that, it was too late for me to call it mine. So, I will soon have a 107 of my own! It will be in my storage unit for the time being, until I can set it up in the house. The 107 was the lowest-on-the-line fabric-matic model of its time (the 106 was the base model, not a fabric-matic); an interesting note, for a basic model, it seems the 107s are almost dramatically rarer than the 106s and 108s (I think the latter replaced them). I look forward to the day when I'll have 2 Maytags in the house! The center-dial machines are getting harder and harder to find, especially in the shape that soon-to-be my 107 is in.

On getting an A107 like the one your grandparents had. And yes, that A107 does look like it is in great shape. I hope it's in plug & play condition for you.

Keeping my fingers crossed for you...
🤞

WOOOOO HOOOOOO...
🥳

VERY NICE! That’s my dream machine right there. Good score! Is that another one behind it that I see in the picture? I actually drove to Massachusetts today to pick up a Maytag washer and Dryer from the 80’s. But I would really like to find the center-dial type. I never see them. Does the one that you got light up?

What part of MA? I’m in Western - Berkshires. Congrats on your 80s Tags - the washer looks like my 506! The matching dryer to the 107 is there, but I’m only going to get the washer. They don’t light up, I believe that was only the higher models that did. Starting with the 600 series I believe. Good luck on finding a center dial - they seem relatively few in number these days. Many people think they’re cooler looking than the 80s ones, but I like that look too. I think the center dials look more “vintage.”
