Hi All

I have taken delivery of another whirlpool unit and this one is in immaculate condition with exception of spin. This one is binding in a different way as the one i am rebuilding. The agitator shaft is free however the basket seems bound in place. it is completely locked up. the unit would agitate no issue but as soon as the coils engaged spin it froze up and the belt wont move anymore. i also can not move the basket by hand.

I suspect this is caused by the machine sitting. everything else on this machine looks excellent, almost show room condition.

Is there any ideas on how this can be freed up? I was thinking possibly pulling the agitator and seeing i there can be any oil put down into it to try and free it however the agitator doesnt feel like it has ever been removed and is tight.
