I first saw one of these at the Hotel and Restaurant Show at the Javits Center in 1983. The model I saw had two of the old Whirlpool/Sears black straight-fin agitators. This is the kind of machine grand houses would install in the "cottages" for their Laundresses. I would enjoy using one of these as my daily driver. |

These UniMac machines were largely target to car washes, but plenty of other commercial or not places found use for them.
Hotels and other accommodations used them for quick laundering of table linen, guests shirts, and so forth. There were two models; single and twin wash tubs. One can get same sort of set up today using square tub Maytag wringer washer and a spin drier. www.yumpu.com/en/document... |
