And look at how small both of those ovens are! I don’t think that you could even roast a turkey over 20lbs, if that would even clear the top of the oven. I’ve seen these before and $40,000 is about what they go for new.

No thank you.

Eddie

Chateau line of La Cornue ranges start at about $45k USD, so there you are then.

www.designerappliances.co...

Don't faint, that number is for openers; things go higher, much higher, up to $500k

www.architecturaldigest.c...

You can buy Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony former range at only $79K

https://www.ebay.com/itm/134037834854...

Can try waiting for one to appear at auction, but those don't go cheap either.

Still $14k is better than $40k I suppose.

www.andrewjonesauctions.c...

This one sold for $25k:

www.liveauctioneers.com/n...

There are tons of used La Cornue ranges on offer at places such as eBay, but don't count on walking away with something on the dirt cheap.

Many people with trophy kitchens absolutely do so.

Never mind the price

Those ovens are an absolute nightmare to use controls are located for the children I guess but bending over that far for an oven it’s not my idea of convenient cooking.

The top burners are way too difficult to clean and the stove is ugly to boot.

Plain GE 30 inch range would outperform this Range very Handley.

Agreed that these are nothing more than trophy stoves for people who don't cook and nightmares for any staff that have to use them, but then again, job security is afforded just by way of required maintenance.

That the nouveau riche biches aren't paying anywhere NEAR their fair share of taxes. And furthermore, these mother f**kers don't cook.

Very good point.

The kitchen is some kind of trophy room?

Seriously.

My Trophy kitchen

In my next house I'm having two kitchens:

My Trophy kitchen to show off and impress guests.
(It will always be staged and never get used and dirty. I hate it.)

AND my Dream kitchen

bradfordwhite's profile picture
In a separate room: The "real me"

Easy to clean, no stress. comfortable. Where the real cooking gets done.

Swap out the micro for an air-fry oven and add a 3.5 c.f free standing chest freezer.

I'm happy. lol

Oh, I like

Bradford's top photo kitchen, but then we cook. Many with trophy kitchens have peronal chef's, and a cleaning staff. Cooking is one thing, and cleaning up after another. The cast iron grates on my gas cook top are not pristine. It gets used. I could steam clean or use a heavy duty cleaner on them, but they'd only be grimy again within a week or two. I use windex on them when I clean the stinless underneath, and burners. The heavy grease is gone so as not to catch fire. I clean the glass oven control panel, knobs. and oven window the same. Stainless cleaner on the handles and front. Oven is slef clean, but that's maybe once a year. Covering foods prevents splatter. It's used more for baking bread lately.

If I have to pay THAT much for a "range","stove" it had better select meals for me,cook them, clean up the meal mess, and lastly shop for my groceries!

And not one of those semi-truck length ranges are even house-broken--how much for a commercial range for the kitchen at your own 'Chez Paul'?

Theycan't fit in the average-sized kitchen, nor even (seeing as how it's intended that I'm really showing it off!) my living room...

I dont think the gas line coming into my house would deliver enough to run all those burners LOL

Funny, electric elements are self-cleaning and the glass on the induction units never needs more than a wipe after a spritz of window cleaner.

Speaking of people with this range, Paula Deane had one on her TV show, the Bigoted Bitch or whatever it was called.
