Nice machine. I have the earlier A8516 although it’s awaiting repair for a leak. It’s likely to be the thermal overload thermostat located on the blower unit which houses the dryer heater and thermostats - located on the top of the drum. I suspect the thermostat you’ve shown is the water one located on the lower part of the backplate. You might need to check the blower fan is operating correctly as no air flow would cause the unit to overheat and trip the stats. If it’s not working it could be the 2uF capacitor located in the top corner next to the supressor which might need to be replaced due to its age. Should be a cheap ish repair unless the dryer element has failed.

I just realised that thermostat is the dryer one from the top of the outer tub - that monitors the exhaust temperature. Number 72 on the attached diagram is the capacitor for the blower motor
