What Washing Machine model is this?
Hello dear community, I have been searching this model of LG intellowasher dd washer for many years but it still a mystery to me, i have only seen it on 3 videos, which one is lost media, The first one is of a russian Advertisement of the washer but they just don't show the model there, Even though in they show the detergent drawer but the commercial is too old and the model is blurry: , The second video is a 10 minute video of the explanation of direct drive system: the third video which is lost media is a korean video of the evolution of lg tromm washers and it appeared there but it seems like LG Korea deleted the video, This washer also seems to have connection with LG Homnet, A predecessor of ThinQ. The direct drive system is probably a little quieter.
It’s much more expensive to repair when things go wrong. It does not reduce vibration at all that’s nonsense I couldn’t even watch the whole video. It probably does reduce motor noise a little bit since the motor is only traveling at the speed of the drum. I really wonder how much of this LG developed I think fisher and pay Kel were really the innovators of this type of motor in laundry appliances. One of the big problems with a direct drive front loader is when you have a ceiling bearing failure it’ll often destroy the whole motor where is if the motor is separated and belt driven it’s unlikely to ever damage the motor it kind of totals the washer that much faster. In any event nearly all front load washers are using direct drive motors however the most durable front load washing machine built Speed Queen still has a belt driven motor and has no problems with the belt etc. or the pulley, lol |

All of those machines are "compacts" according North American standards. Regular European size. All are older models. I have seen those models here in the Netherlands. The video's you linked are 10 and 12 years old, the machines perhaps even older and have disappeared from the market here a long time ago.
