How hard is it to replace a noisy Maytag tub bearing? |

When one of my machines spins, it sounds like a freight train and I'm told that's probably due to the bearings. My local Maytag guy thinks it's "too old," but I absolutely refuse to get rid of it no matter what happens. How complicated would it be to do myself or have someone handy who I know do it?
