That is a nice matching set and probably will not last long. If you think you can use it then get it. That washer allows you to control the water level which is a very nice bonus.

BOL's

Washer looks like an AWN412 and the dryer an ADE3.

Way too high of an asking price. Maybe if it was a very low mileage AWN552 with a matching TOL dryer due to much better flexibility than a TC5 washer. Someone will probably buy it though because of the Speed Queen nameplate.

They are about 10 years old. The same set is for sale an hour and a half from me. They were listed at $1200 and are down to $900 and still for sale. They are good machines. The price may be a little steep for their age but a new TC5 set is about $2,800.00.

I've used the same set when I was living up at the cascades. Awesome machines! It's what first got me introduced to Speed Queen:) I wish these were still being made because they're my all time favorite from SQ. But for what the seller is offering for that set, I'd have to think about it. Although I wouldn't rule it out entirely.

I agree that these are 10 or so years old.  When I bought my SQ pair in 2010, I bought the next up for both the washer and the dryer.  The nicer washer gave me an optional second rinse, and the dryer gave me a light in the drum and an end-of-cycle signal.  I bought a gas dryer and purchased the nicer model for specific reasons.  The dryer was out of stock and so I had to wait for it.  When it was delivered, it was the BOL model in this advertisement.  When I complained that they brought out the incorrect dryer, the fellow's response was "well you wanted a gas dryer!"  This was the same man who sold me the pair in the store, and was well aware of the comments I made regarding the shortcomings of the BOL model.  After much runaround and a consultation with the owner of the store, it was decided that I could keep and use the BOL model until the 'correct' model showed up, at which time they would take the BOL model back and sell it as used/demonstrator.  In short, I was more than slightly put out with how the transaction worked.  This was at Castleberry's in Chamblee, GA.

and bought a new SQ. My friend, who I've been dealing with on trade ins for about 25 years, is a SQ dealer, among other things. A little over $1100.00 got us this one, out the door.

All of those great machines in the barn waiting anxiously to be used again and you bought a new one?

No worries

I told her that the Maytag daily drivers are following us to the new house. This one, and the matching dryer. She wanted a new washer, had to talk her into the Queen, she wanted a frontloader.

They are being stored at the house we are buying. Mom and Dad's old house. One of the reasons we are buying.

Yes, TR7.  She doesn't know it yet, but I plan on getting the matching dryer, in a few weeks. Then sell the Samsung dryer that's there now.

That’s great. You’ll enjoy these and they should have a 7 year parts and labor warranty.

Is the TR series better now than it was when it came out? I know SQ did some programming tweaks to the cycles after all the backlash in 2018. Did that make a difference?
