I'll get them if they are still there after this sunday These rare machines are just too difficult to pass up at such a price. I told the seller if he still had them after Sunday I would come and rescue them. I mean these are like the holy grail of vintage washers IMO. | ||

That was the TOL washer & dryer for Westnghouse that year. My "other mother" had the washer. From what I was told, one of her neighbors (the street behind the street we liveed on) had the washer and after a year she apparently wasn't happy with the cleaning results and sold it to her. The Westy replaced a Bendix that was acquired probably in 1948 or 1949. Her family had 3 children until the 4th child was born December 1962. The washer was replaced with a Montgomery Wards "Norge" fall, 1963.
