I really debated with driving out there to take these home myself. I'm just not sure I have the space and time for this right now. I have my kenmore frog eye machines and with my build a whole kitchen from scratch myself project while working full time I just don't have the bandwidth to take on a project of this scale, but God these are cool and I'm sure we all know how rare these are.

He said that someone was coming on Sunday to pick them up but that they never got back to him. I told him if they are not gone by Sunday I might be interested but like I said I'm not sure it's a good idea for me right now.

I'll get them if they are still there after this sunday

These rare machines are just too difficult to pass up at such a price. I told the seller if he still had them after Sunday I would come and rescue them. I mean these are like the holy grail of vintage washers IMO.

Hoping you get them!

The washer weighs a ton -- almost literally!  You'll need help loading and unloading for sure.

You can remove the top and unbolt the weights from the top of the tub with a half inch socket

That was the TOL washer & dryer for Westnghouse that year. My "other mother" had the washer. From what I was told, one of her neighbors (the street behind the street we liveed on) had the washer and after a year she apparently wasn't happy with the cleaning results and sold it to her. The Westy replaced a Bendix that was acquired probably in 1948 or 1949. Her family had 3 children until the 4th child was born December 1962. The washer was replaced with a Montgomery Wards "Norge" fall, 1963.

Crescent City - passed through here once and the locals were complaining about the rainy season. Meanwhile, these are pretty cool. Good luck and safe travels.
