Try Bunker Hill Appliance in Ohio - 1-330-893-3700. Great people and what they don't know about Maytag wringer washers is no body's business.
Next up is another Amish business (they do love their Maytag wringer washers), is Cottage Craft Works: cottagecraftworks.com/maytag-wri... |

Pumps on Maytag wringer are rather powerful. IIRC Maytag stated pumps would empty tub of water in about two minutes.
Have mine set up a few feet from sink using an extension to drain hose and am here to tell you water still gushes forcefully when pump is engaged. When done with wash day don't forget to lower drain hose to ground so remaining water will clear out of sump and hose. |

I just take off black plastic ring off end of drain hook and slip on hose (standard drain from a dishwasher), then clamp down. When wash day is done reverse proceedure and replace black plastic ring.
You'll need to ensure hose slips on a good inch or two and is clamped tightly. Otherwise am here to tell you force of drain pump will push it off otherwise. |

I remember my grandmothers E2LP model well, it drained into a shallow sink so we just had to feather the control for the drain pump so you didn’t engage fully otherwise it would splash all over the laundry room.
When you’re rinsing out the machine after you drain the wash water always dump at least a half gallon of clean water through so you don’t have any stinky wash water Staying in the drain pump if the machine is used regularly you should actually leave water in the pump. If you’re only going to use it once every six months it wouldn’t hurt to drain it completely. John. |
