When I see "Kook Center," the first thing that komes to mind is Berkeley (although Palm Beach may soon replace it).  I guess that wasn't the kase in the mid '50s when these were being manufaktured.

 

Personally, I like kounter space on at least one side of my stove, but these are kool units nonetheless.  Dave and I had a Western Holly gas kook top of the same vintage in the first home we rented together.  It was built like a tanc.
