I have previously had borrow the bearing tool needed to pull and place bearings in the belt-drive washer spin tube. I’ve still not had any success in finding one for myself and now need it again for the 1973 Kenmore I just picked up. If anyone has one they’d like to sell or allow me to borrow, I would be so grateful!

Thanks in advance for any help!

Jon

You may have to pound out the old bearings, DADOES mentioned doing that in a live stream on Kirk Rivas’ channel on YouTube.

The servicer where I worked used an old agitator shaft to pound-out bad bearings and the installer tool to set new bearings.

Hi Jon,

I actually have an extra bearing installer tool you can have. I got two of them in a tools donation to our ReStore and I nabbed them both. I don't have a bearing removal tool, but in the past I've used a hacksaw blade to cut out the old bearing (takes some elbow grease, but it works).

PM me with your address and I'll send it out. I also have a set of bearings and seals you can have (they came with the tools!). Let me know.
