Looks like this one is one step above the one that Todd has offered and is maybe a couple of years newer than his.  It doesn't appear to have been showered with tender loving care.

Sadly we can't see the center of the panel in full view, so I'm speculating on this being either a '68 D series or '69 E series 1030/1040 machine. Program controls, 2 speed clutch, single shot bleach dispenser, no fluorescent light. This would be a fun washer!

Based on the panel cursive

I believe it’s 1969

Here’s the comparison of the ‘68 to a ‘70 panel

Good eye! It had not dawned on me that GE changed the script font between '68 and '69. Thanks, Jon!

One of my favorite G.E.'s. Looks like it was found in an abandoned house. Hope it gets saved.

Seller has other things up on CL as well. Looks as if he/she gets things from storage /warehouse sales among other places.

People put all sorts into warehouse or storage lockers, then don't pay, die, move away, forget and so forth. Eventually place will auction things off.

could this machine be laid down for transporting and if so is it on its back or on its side? This looks like an interesting machine to save.

Yes

It can be on its side. It may rupture a dried up boot but those can be replaced.

If you lay it on its side I would definitely pop the top up and stuff towels or something between the inner and outer tub to keep the inner tub centered in the outer tub. This would prevent the inner tub from banging the outed tub on the bumps and may preserve the boot which has probably dry rotted but may still be good. If you do this be careful not to damage the rubber seal around the top of the outer tub when you pop the top back down.

I have not seen many GE programmed panels of this vintage. Interesting.

This model's Woolens cycle differed from the original settings in the original GE programmed washer by providing a cold rinse when the original cycle provided a warm rinse under the belief that changing the water temperature would lead to shrinkage. It kept the slow agitation and fast spin of the classic woolens cycle.

Thanks for the memory, Gregory

The very first Whirlpool of my life was my beloved Aunt Margaret's mid 60's Whirlpool dryer, featuring the narrow oblong box just like the ones in your link.

The dryer had a glass window in the door, tumbled very rapidly, and made a distinct long single note woooooo sound, a bit high-pitched, owing I've learned to the fast blower necessary to dry a load in a reasonable amount of time from Whirlpool machines spinning at only 550 rpm's.

With Margaret's laundry arriving from a 900 rpm Easy Spindrier, the mighty whirlpool made quick work of the loads. To this day, it remains the only drier I have ever loved and coveted.

Did you go after these machines, Greg?

Similar 2nd Tier TOL's were common in the late '60's. Here's a '69 leftover featured in the excellent 1970 brochure that introduced the "HEAVY DUTY 18" models:
