The washer may work (need to be cleaned up along with belts replaced) but the dryer however will probably need to be gone through if the pilot light has been on all these years and if not, it will still need to be gone through since the electronic dry control on those Maytag HOH dryers can be a bit screwy. It’s the same story with my Maytag A606 set, washer worked but the dryer didn’t work and went through it since it was corroded from years of constant burning pilot light which is what I believe is what caused them to be taken out of service since the clips that hold the motor down snapped since they were that corroded. Anyways, the electronic dry control only worked a few times when testing it on damp dry but stopped working, even tried air drying a load to see what it would do and would run and run until I opened the door to stop it manually. Ended up just putting a 306 timer in and have had ZERO issues with it since May of 2019, only repair I had to do to it back in 2020 was replace the cycling thermostat since it got gummed up and wasn’t keeping temperature properly since the high limit thermostat kept on kicking the burner off.
