So I just moved to Hawaii and am renting short-term until my new house closes escrow. The rental house does not have a washer or dryer so I have to schlep to the laundromat. It’s been many years since I’ve had to do so, and since I had to liquidate my vintage washer/dryer collection because it was cost-prohibitive to ship them to Hawaii, I’m at the mercy of these Huebsch washers. What the heck? Never heard of the brand, and the “rinse” cycle is hardly that. The rinse cycle is only a three minute spin spray after the wash cycle. Not what I’m used to, for sure.

Anyway, just wanted to rant and am curious what folks know about this brand of machine?

Cheers,

Todd

They are the sister brand of Speed Queen, both of which are owned by Alliance Laundry Systems. But Huebsch is sold in the Canadian market so this is the first time I've heard of a Huebsch being used on American soil.

We had those in our laundry room in the building that I live in Top loaders and dryers. Those were changed out recently to LG's front loaders and dryers.

The spray rinse is what is set by the factory. The owner of the machine can program it for a deep rinse, however the end user is stuck with whatever the owner has it set for. I have had them in my laundromats but mine I programmed for a deep rinse.

Do you do intermittent spins in between all fill and drain cycles? Such as “Fill Wash drain spin, Fill wash rinse spin, Fill fabric softener rinse final spin”

huebsch at the laundromat

The ones at the laundromat will fill, wash, drain, fill, rinse, drain, fill, rinse, spin, final rinse fill with fabric softener, rinse bath, and final spin. This is when you have extra rinse selected. That's what I do.
