We are considering a major kitchen remodel. Our washer and dryer are in the laundry room adjacent to the kitchen. (We currently have a an LG front loading pair with a gas dryer.)
As part of the remodel, I’m thinking about getting a Miele pair. My concern is the heat pump dryer. With going from gas to a heat pump model, will I regret it because of long drying times? I like everything else about Miele but wary because of the heat pump dryer. If you’ve used one of the recent Miele heat pump dryers, please let me know your thoughts. Thanks! Bob |

I have the WXR/TXR860 set and don't love the dryer. It's loud between the compressor and the clicking it makes twice during each revolution. I have to dry sheets in three loads otherwise they come out in a wrinkled mess.
The washer is good not great. It seems somewhat rough on laundry. Not nearly as gentle as Miele makes you think. Save your money and stick with your LG set. |

Cannot help you with Miele heat pump dryers, but do own a condenser dryer (AEG).
In general going from a vented electric or gas dryer to any sort of condenser version will mean a learning curve and yes some tradeoffs. Very long story short some owners swear by their Miele heat pump dryers, others at them. My personal ongoing count from people one knows shows latter group streets ahead. My standard first advice about Miele appliances applies; find out what local service is like in your area before buying. |

I totally disagree with everyone.
I switched from an LG regular washer and dryer to MIELE Washer and Heatpump Dryer. Let me say just simple. I LOVE IT! I have the dryer since 2019. Already 2000 cycles on it. 0 Issues. A full load of towels takes 1hour and 15 minutes to dry. Regular load is an hour. And don't forget its NOT only the savings on the dryer itself BUT don't forget the savings in Cooling&Heating. You gas dryer has a vent. That means it will suck your heated or cooled air and will vent it outside of your house. I don't regret the switch. GO For it you'll love it. PS. Miele washers and dryers have a 18lbs capacity. Thats more than enough for a family of 4.
