Hi everyone,

I was hooking up my dishwasher today and since it sat so long it has developed a leak between the metal and plastic parts on the water inlet valve. I dismantled it and cleaned it and tried to reassemble but it still leaked. The o-ring isn't exactly a standard o-ring, as it's shaped to fit into a groove in the plastic part... anyway, I had no luck trying to find a part number or a listing for one, I only found the entire valve. Do I need to replace the entire valve or is the o-ring-gasket available? Thanks.

Unless the dishwasher had almost no use, you’re better off buying a whole valve.

You could just coat the old O-ring with 3M, marine sealant, wait for it to dry a day or so and then it will probably not leak.
