I have a GE Mobile Maid (model SP40P) and I am looking for a replacement motor and pump assembly. This machine was working great until the gasket seal between the motor and the pump assembly failed and water shorted-out the motor. It seems that the pump and motor are a single unit as I cannot get the pump/impeller assembly off the motor shaft.

The impeller should come off the motor shaft - it could be frozen in place due to exposure to water over the years.  I used to take a 'gentle approach' but now I'd suggest heating it with a torch and then trying to remove the bolts.
