hey folks, its me the drycleaner. I just got a 1948 visimatic.the wringer doesnt engage at all. the shaft that comes up from the bottom is all there along wth the spring in the middle, and the top part has a part that looks like its meant to fit into the bottom although it seems like it just doesnt go down far enough to meet. even though the wringer locks in like it should. please someone let me know what I can do. thanks Bill

retro fitted coupler for wringer shaft

hello friends, my friend kyle "the wrench" and I were able to figure out that the wringer shaft and the head were missing a part. and so he fashioned a coupler out of a rugged piece of pipe, aqnd guesse what, the wringer works great!!! kyles Dad is an electrom microscope engineer and has a new three d printer he wants to use and so he is going to make me the part out of high strength plastic. I will post pics of the machikne and the part soon. thanks the drycleaner

Hey Bill ... so glad to hear you solved the problem and you can now use that wringer washer! The 3-D printer idea sounds amazing.

Such a pudgy little wringer.
Seeing the half skirt, swollen legs and small feet reminds me of a large lady in a dress with heels.
Nice washer.

As you may already know Whirlpool made these "Visi Matic" washers for Sears.

www.automaticwasher.org/c...

If you don't have one already eBay has tons of parts manuals for this series of Kenmore washers on offer.

what year is it?

hello friends and thanks for all the support. how do I tell the year of the visimatic? I believe its in the model number? it seems like its from 1951, does this seem logical? thanks Bill

These are 1948 Sears wringers, so your Visi-Matic had to be later . Mine is bottom middle with timer and the one Bradross had was the one to left w/o timer
