A little stumped as to why it won’t start. Wired it up with the start relay, didn’t do anything except the timer motor ran. Wired it up as seen in this photo and it still doesn’t want to do anything. Checked the door switch and the wires that go to the door switch and those checked out fine, checked the wires the go to the main drive motor and they didn’t appear to be loose. Basically checked everything and still won’t do anything.

Those darn gas dryers.

Maybe there's a gas leak detector that's preventing it from starting and exploding?

Is the motor gummed up with soot from the burning of gas?

Did you try the door switch?

Try and avoid any sparking.

I don’t think it’s gummed up from soot, dust and lint yes (when I first got it home back in 2019). Looked over everything, must be an error on how the timer is wired up.

Shouldn’t have to worry about any sparking, currently not hooked up to gas since it’s sitting in the dining room since last summer. Only think it was used for up until I put the 407 timer in was air fluffing clothes.

Still stumped as to why it won’t start, everything seems to have checked out fine. Power probably isn’t getting to the motor which is probably the culprit to why it won’t do anything.
