Bendix I have wanted one of these since I saw one on Dennis The Menace.My grandmother had one but I never saw it.This one appears to have the soaplid intact.I have three of these machines but they are sad.It is not clear to me to this day what holds the soaplid in place. | ||

Loose drum on a calypso washer
Is usually the cast aluminum hub it corrodes and brakes sort of like a spider on a front load washer.
The tub assembly has a lifetime warranty. If it’s a whirlpool model, it had a 10 year parts warranty if it’s a Kenmore model. You might also need to replace the U joint assembly and various other parts while you’re doing this repair. John | ||
