Good Afternoon,
I am super excited to share I purchased a matching, fully loaded Kenmore Elite set from 2002. I have been searching and searching for a matching set that was fully loaded (preferably one that has more sound deadening material lol. When this set popped up, I couldn't pass it by. I'm hoping the bisque color will grown me. While the set needs a good wipe down, everything looks to be in great condition. If anybody has any additional info on these, I would love to hear. that's a great set. Top of the line models with mechanical timers. You'll be very happy with them. |

Does this washer have a 3-Speed Motor on it or a 2-Speed one on it, and does it have the Catalyst System on it? This washer looks like it’s pretty loaded. —Charles— |

There's no drain/recirculate valve so it isn't a Catalyst. There are six Speed selections so surely a 3-speed motor. The 3rd control Rinse Options has One Rinse, 2nd Rinse, Soak and Prewash Only, Soak Only ... if I'm reading it correctly. Presumably starting at either Auto Soak or Prewash with One Rinse or 2nd Rinse has the machine progress on through the Ultra Clean cycle, Soak Only has it stop at end of the soak period (possibly without draining to allow soaking as long as the user desires), Soak and Prewash Only has it stop at end of the Prewash (with a drain and spin). Diagrams indicate it should have a variation of the base sound insulation pad (#20).

Wow what a great set! I love the triple dispensing. Regarding the softener dispenser, if you select an optional second rinse, I'd be really interested to know if the softener is still flushed in during the first rinse or delayed until the second rinse.
If the plastic side panels have yellowed, you could probably remove most of the yellowing by using the peroxide technique -- it's worked for me on several things.
Enjoy your new machines, Mark |

The current Kenmore Elite machine I have doesn’t have the triple dispensers or variable water. I think it’s a model below this.
In regards to the side panels, I see they were originally bisque but probably yellowed over the years. The bisque colored ones are NLA but I’ll probably just add white ones. |
