I've never seen these come up for sale before. If you have one of these dryers with cracked or broken glass this is a very rare opportunity to get a new old stock replacement. Ten available.

Good number of local entrepreneurs made trip to auction of old appliance store's inventory a year or so ago.

Listing was posted here in group but do not believe any members attended either auction (there were two). More is the pity as place was a treasure trove of old, ancient and even modern appliance parts and other goodies.

These NOS glass panels likely were sourced from same.

Sorry to say I missed that posting. Stores like that are an absolute godsend to folks into vintage and they’re rapidly disappearing.

Auctions like one discussed can be a toss up and thus go either way.

Yes, OTOH one can find lots of goodies. But also if things are sold in lots (as they were for auction in question) and auctioneer is being a stickler on that score one has to take rough with smooth. That is it is highly likely one can end up with tons of surplus to requirement parts that will sit around haunting one for ages.

Case in point this Ebay seller did well with many items from said auction. Others however are sitting without a nibble. One would assume that even just from Maytag appliance collectors or otherwise those who own vintage appliances from that brand those glass dryer panels would have all sold by now.

When Larry of that appliance shop in Parma passed on his heirs just got a dumpster and binned tons of vintage parts. This *may* have been in consequence of hearing, over hearing, seeing, etc... people ring up Larry and pick his very knowledgeable brain, request parts be set aside then never show up to complete the deal.

It's always a bummer for me when things are being sold in lots, especially when the lots are large. When that happens the only folks likely to show any interest are resellers, and I'm not interested in going there. There's a seller on eBay at the moment with a rather large lot of older vacuum cleaners for sale, but the buyer must take them all and it's local pickup only. I've been thinking of a Hoover model 26 or 28 and there are several in the group, but I'm not going to take the whole lot just to get one vacuum. I get that some sellers don't want to deal with shipping all over the country, but it shouldn't be a big deal to drop something off at a local pack and ship outfit and let the buyer take it from there. I've had a few sellers do just that for me and it's worked out well.

When young, new and naïve to vintage appliance game would buy up lots of parts. Sometimes to get only one of what was needed, others with aim of marking things up and selling on. Now one knows much better...

Have good number of parts that likely will be rubbished since don't do eBay any longer, nor have patience for CL, FB and whatever else.
